Role Title (Role Level): Platform Manager (Chief Expert)
Location: Gauteng (Hybrid) (Willing and able to travel internationally)
Contract Term: 1 March 2024 - 31 December 2026

xc2xb7 Assist Management with technical decisions
xc2xb7 Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposal and successful implementation
xc2xb7 Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
xc2xb7 Release Management STMS /Charm
xc2xb7 SAP Basis skills (installation, configuration, and support)
xc2xb7 SAP HANA experience
xc2xb7 SAP Charm process
xc2xb7 Coordinate basis tasks with SAP05 / Linux and other teams.
o All Basis task with SAP05. Check tasks are successfully implemented.
o OS upgrades and changes Linux team. Check tasks are successfully implemented.

xc2xb7 Oracle Concepts
xc2xb7 Linux concepts
xc2xb7 SAP SP upgrades (SUM process and preparation task)
xc2xb7 Assist and guide with performance issues.
xc2xb7 System copies / Client copies
xc2xb7 Understand interfaces and be able to resolve issues.
xc2xb7 SAP EHP upgrade process (SUM)
xc2xb7 Understand backup and restores processes.

xc2xb7 SAP K3/K4 Certification (advantageous)
WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
xc2xb7 Planning, managing and co-ordinating of tasks with relevant teams are done with the best quality, on time and accuracy.
xc2xb7 Ensure your systems are security compliant.
xc2xb7 Apply Pentest findings to your systems as required.
xc2xb7 Do capacity management on your system and act on it accordingly.
xc2xb7 Ensure your systems are on the BMW standard software levels.
xc2xb7 Work as a team member. Share knowledge and experiences to improve team.
xc2xb7 Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
xc2xb7 Support the functional team with issues and provide a solutions-based approach.
xc2xb7 Willing and able to travel internationally
xc2xb7 Cutover planning for hardware and software updates.
