Job Description


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Media & Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant field.
  • Relevant Post Graduate qualification would be a definite advantage.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience within a large multinational organisation.
Responsibilities (KPAs):
  • Public Relations Strategy:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and communications strategies to enhance the Groups public image.
  • Manage media relations, including cultivating relationships with Journalists and media outlets.
  • Manage agency support effectively to deliver engaging content and positive stories across various platforms.
  • Draft press releases, speeches, and other communications materials.
  • Research and develop messages on key topics for communication activities.
  • Internal and External Communications:
  • Oversee internal communications to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the Group's goals.
  • Develop and co-ordinate the delivery of the annual internal communication plan.
  • Drive, implement and co-ordinate campaigns that inspire, engage and inform employees.
  • Manage external communications channels such as social media, newsletters, and company website content.
  • Government and Regulatory Affairs:
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Develop advocacy strategies and engage with government officials and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure good governance of communication systems and processes.
  • Uphold corporate identity, ensuring Group templates are used.
  • Support and leverage Group initiatives and effective co-ordinate with Group team.
  • Crisis Management:
  • Serve as a spokesperson during crises or sensitive issues, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Event Management:
  • Plan and execute events, conferences and other public engagements.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage budgets related to communications and public affairs activities.
  • Supervise staff or external Consultants involved in communications and public relations.
