Minimum Job Requirements:

• B.Sc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• GCC Qualification or studying towards.
• Must have 5 to 7 years Manufacturing/Engineering experience.
• Min. 3 years project engineering experience.
• Multi-discipline practical experience.
• Proven working experience as a Project Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and plant design, an advantage.

Responsibilities:
Report to the Engineering Manager:

• Prepared and control project and plant change budgets.
• Plant related projects, from conceptual stage right through to commissioning.
• Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans.
• Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
• Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
• Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
• Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications.
• Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; co-ordinating activities; resolving problems.
• Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
• Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends, recommending actions.
• Maintain project database.
• Ensure all implementation is carried out in accordance with the highest HSSE standards.
• Evaluate modifications to and commissioning changes on equipment for new products.
• Ensure that, for all upgrades or improvements, the relevant procedures and work instructions are up to date.
• Analysis of performance measures.
• Propose, select, and negotiate with suitable contracting companies, Consultants, and equipment suppliers.
• Propose, plan, implement and control projects and plant changes within schedule and budget, taking into account the maintenance of production to meet the Marketer needs.
• Ensure the effectiveness of the new modifications.

Staff and Leadership Accountabilities:

• Provide the necessary training on the new equipment or changes.
• Interact daily with the clients.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor Project team.
• Co-operate and communicate effectively with Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

HSSE and Quality Accountabilities:

• Apply 5S Principles.
• Compliance with HSSE and quality standards.
• Ensure all Statutory requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure that HSES and quality standards are integral to the fundamental design.
• Assess and report on HSSEQ potential Incidents/Incidents.
• Observe and report on continuous improvement.
• Conduct Unsafe Act Auditing (UAA)
• Identify risks/hazards within the process area.
• Conduct HRAs as team members.
• Internal auditing.
• Incident reporting and investigations.
• Housekeeping (5S).
