The IIE's Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) in the following module:

Game Art 1A

Job Purpose:

Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas:

Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal: + BA Honours (HEQSF 8) in:
+ Design or Visual Arts degree with a strong emphasis on drawing, especially the human figure such as Animation/ Game Design/ Graphic Design/ Visual Communication Design/ Information Design/ Fine Arts
Alternatively: + A suitable BA Honours level Degree that includes drawing up to a third year level.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

Experience in Animation and character development. Recommended: Lecturing experience in one of the above mentioned fields. Portfolio needed to show examples of work.
