Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.Role: Account DirectorLocation: Durban, South AfricaROLE MISSIONWorking in partnership with our client, the Account Director will be a member of the OLIVER South Africa leadership team and will need to provide leadership and direction within designated portfolio to support the agency's vision and help clients drive short term sales and build long term brand value.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLELeadership:

  • Be the ambassador within the Account Management team
  • Act as a problem solver and exercise overall control over the portfolio for South Africa
  • Manage, maintain and grow internal and external professional relationships in order to generate the best outcome
  • Generate enthusiasm for and commitment to the portfolio among team members.
Budget Control:
  • Identify new business opportunities where additional potential exists
  • Monitor the profitability given operational constraints
  • Oversee the management of project budgets and campaign costs
  • Oversee management of the production budget for the portfolio
  • Manage financial risks.
Client Management:
  • Become a trusted advisor
  • Work closely with the clients to uncover business needs and objectives, set strategies with direct reports to help achieve client's business goals
  • Applying knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to clients and assist in identifying opportunities that will be translated into strategic projects or deliverables
  • Overall responsibility for all day-to-day communication with clients through direct involvement or overseeing direct reports: the taking of briefs, discussing strategy and future opportunities and general client communication
  • Build and grow good relationships clients based on trust, credibility and professional respect.
Team Management:
  • Taking primary responsibility for your team's performance by acting as the final supervisory checkpoint for all related project/Finance related documents, and ensuring timely issuing of reports
  • Train and motivate the portfolio account team members if applicable by developing their abilities through formal and informal channels and mentoring
  • Empower the team members and identify growth opportunities
Project Management:
  • Oversee the management of all projects from planning to delivery and post event or campaign wrap up
  • Ensure integration of channels to drive 360-degree campaigns working with the various departments
  • Suggesting areas for improvement in internal & client processes along with possible solutions.
WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL
  • 5 years or more experience in Account Management
  • Experience within the advertising industry
