Manages smooth operations in the Western Cape, South West Eastern Cape, Western Northern Cape and Namibia with a 40% Farmer approach and 60% Hunters approach
Provides development, training and motivation of public sector customers
Conduct required on-site test work, audits and reporting
Provides customers with sales, service experience, and expert application techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and promote regional growth
Recommends equipment and chemical dosage changes and develops new product applications
Conduct Designated Market Analysis/Intelligence, SWOT Analysis and market survey annually
Retention and growth of large portfolio of existing customer base across Public Water to ensure profitable sales
Manage and negotiate customer prices & margins within set company parameters by regular consolidation and updating of selling prices
Will be held accountable for 12 month budgeting, meeting sales vs. budget and growing customer base year on year in terms of volume, revenue and margins
Maintaining acceptable debtors days with no bad debt
Follow up / make contact with public sector customers to meet forecasts and to ensure that sales targets are realised
Liaise with customers regarding orders, back orders, delivery dates, customer queries, general requests and requirements
Compile monthly reports of business analysis with sales, forecasts & margins
Understand and strategize around the competitive landscape
Develop and execute a plan to cross-sell suite of products and services to customer base and charge for value.
Work with Public Water teams and other Regional Teams to drive sales & profitability growth by looking into & highlighting new opportunities to strengthen and expand business within existing customer base
Possess Public Water industry/market knowledge to be able to handle customers requiring technical advice and commercial support
Understand the Public Sector Buying process and temperament
Demonstrate some understanding of the PFMA, MFMA, PPPFA
