The Account Manager serves as a link between clients and the agency and is responsible for the coordination of advertising campaigns and for communicating clearly to all those involved. They must understand their client's needs and objectives and liaise closely with them throughout campaigns, often daily. The Account Manager manages administrative and campaign work and ensures that advertising projects are completed on time and within budget.
Work experience requirements:
3-5 years proven experience as an Account Manager, or in a similar level sales/customer service role
Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills, in at least English and Afrikaans
Ability to build strong and mutually rewarding professional relationships
Strong organizational and time-management skills
A strong business acumen
Enthusiastic and passionate
Strong sales and customer service skills
Knowledge of the latest advertising and marketing trends
Proficiency with numbers, budgets and time management
Ability to present ideas, negotiate and problem solve
Education requirements:
Matriculation/Grade 12 Certificate
Certificate/Diploma/BA Degree specializing in Sales and/or Marketing or a related field
