Account Manager (financial Services)

Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to drive profitability and expand our product portfolio. This role involves managing financial services products and key stakeholder relationships to ensure continuous product and portfolio growth. The Business Manager will also oversee the successful execution of PEPmoney projects within defined scope, time, and budget, while serving as a senior product owner.Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve financial targets for the fiscal year.
  • Develop and present business cases for product portfolio enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance by collaborating with Risk and Compliance teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Work closely with PEPKOR legal on contractual matters.
  • Partner with the Marketing department to create impactful campaigns.
  • Manage projects efficiently, adhering to agreed timelines and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete all administrative tasks within specified deadlines.
  • Continuously negotiate and secure new products and services with partners.
  • Drive ongoing improvement and growth within the portfolio.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., B.Com/Marketing degree).
  • 3-5 years of experience in related fields (insurance, credit/sales, loans, bill payments, fintech products, tech products, or banking).
  • Strong understanding of transactional banking products and revenue generation strategies.
  • Experience in the payments environment is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in debit/credit card product management is required.
  • Knowledge of the National Payments Systems.
  • Financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in stock forecasting/management for tech products.
  • Proficiency in product management (financials, business cases, projects, analysis).
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or G-Suite, especially Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship and partnership management skills.
  • Financial reporting, business case drafting, and analytical skills.
