Job Description


The following competencies are required:

A Matric qualification with commensurate numeracy skills;
At least 3 - 5 years key account management experience within the manufacturing / production sector;
Valid Drivers License and own a reliable car;
Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office Suite and high level of numeracy;
Excellent verbal and written English Communication skills;
Firm character with strong sales drive
Strong customer service orientation;
Professional appearance, together with the ability to liaise, interact and communicate with customers and internal production supply chain services;
Strong communication skills at all levels internally and externally, including:
Negotiations, Managing objections, Demonstrating relationship skills, Appropriate use of etiquette, Strong analytical and lateral thinking abilities; Good writing, Presentation skills; Good project management skills

To be considered for the position, you should be able to meet the following essential criteria:

Sales / key account experience within the FMCG, pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry
Experience in maintaining business with large and well known corporates
Manage the process of product design, quoting and preparation of tender submissions;
Collaborate with internal teams such as production, manufacturing, quality, finished goods, warehouse and transport
Keep client posted at all times
Formulate sales plans and initiatives designed to grow our business;
Set ambitious but achievable sales budgets meet them through pro-active sales activities, identifying and securing new business opportunities;
Manage customers stock levels ad requirements as well as acquiring realist forecasts
Conduct regular visits to both existing and potential customers with frequency;
Analyse customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet them;
Identify and manage customers with disorganised business practices
Liaise with customers and relevant internal and external suppliers to ensure targets are met;
Compile and submit relevant reports and handle sales administration processes.
