Job Description

Account Manager:



Our client, a leading distributor of value-added cable and networking systems, is currently seeking an Account Manager with strong technical expertise to join their team. The role involves engaging with end users to present tailored solutions and products, aiming to have these products included in the client's installation standards or specification documents.

Minimum Requirements:



Essential: National Senior Certificate. Preferred: Qualification completed in Lead Generation, Business Development, or General Sales Management. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the ICT / Telecoms industry. Own vehicle and Driver's License.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Identify and approach potential clients to promote products and services. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective customers using persuasive communication and negotiation skills. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to close deals. Address objections and provide solutions to secure customer commitment. Ensure all sales agreements are documented accurately and processed promptly.

Market Development:



Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs. Analyse competitor activity to develop unique value propositions. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

Business Development:



Develop and implement strategies to penetrate untapped regions, sectors, or new customers. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align solutions with customer needs and business goals. Monitor and report on competitive market information. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and raise brand awareness. Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing and onboarding new clients. Provide exceptional after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Effective client account management. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM tools.

Administration:



Prepare sales reports to track progress, analyse trends, and measure performance against targets. Provide feedback to management regarding customer needs, market dynamics, and sales strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities on the required reporting systems. Maintain call reports.
