4 MONTH CONTRACT - STARTING 1 DECEMBER 2024
Successful, listed Financial Services company seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to assist their Accounting team.Reporting to the Group FM, the candidate must have a completed BCom Honours (Accounting), Completed Articles would be advantageous. Minimum of 10 years full function corporate Accounting experience covering the following:
- Managing the corporate month end accounting process from source to trial balance in Sage Evolution
- Preparation and posting of all monthly journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of the monthly management reports
- Preparation of subsidiary or shareholder financial statements in Caseware
- Liaising with the external Auditors
- Preparation of tax computations and tax returns and filing on SARS E-Filing
- Preparation of Directors remuneration schedules
- Loading payments into our banking system
- Keeping track of the shareholders for dividends
- Preparing Solvency and Liquidity tests
- Maintaining the companies fixed asset register
- Drafting of accounting opinions
- Maintaining the inter-company schedule
- Participate in system improvement projects
- Keep abreast of latest developments in accounting field
- Ad hoc tasks as required
