Accountant (balance Sheet)

Job Description
Malander seeking an immediately available, dedicated Accountant, who is passionate about ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records through meticulous reconciliation processes for a 3-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and accurate balance sheet reconciliations for loans, general ledgers, and other relevant accounts;
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and variances;
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner;
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements;
- Prepare detailed reports summarising reconciliation findings and recommendations for corrective action;
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals;
- Continuously assess and improve balance sheet reconciliation procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Deep understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes, particularly loans and general ledgers;
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments;
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
