We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to oversee and manage our financial operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong accounting skills, a deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and the ability to handle complex financial transactions. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and supporting the company's financial health and decision-making. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the company's financial goals are achieved and that operations are running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations
Prepare and review financial reports for management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries
Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure the company's financial goals are met
Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports
Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of transactions
Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management for improving profitability
Provide strategic recommendations for cost optimization and revenue growth
Manage asset tracking and depreciation, including maintaining accurate records
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of required documentation
Oversee the preparation of tax submissions and ensure adherence to relevant tax laws
Support finance team members, offering guidance and mentorship where needed
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and operational strategies

Qualifications
BCom Honours in Accounting
Full Board Certification - SAIPA, CIBA, CIMA, ACCA (advantage)
Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role
Motor Industry experience will be (advantage)
Remuneration
Up to R25 000 CTC
