Accountant
Job Description
As the accountant you will be responsible for the following duties:
Manage all accounting operations including creditors, debtors, general ledger and payroll
Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and on time
Oversee and maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices
Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Closely monitor cash flow, financial performance, budget variances and provide feedback to management
Support strategic decision-making
Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors and financial institutions
Stay up to date with changes happening in accounting regulations and standards
Implement necessary procedural updates
Provide financial guidance to other departments
Drive Business growth and profitability
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by managementSkills & Experience:
Advanced Excel skills
Minimum 5 years experience
Experience working on Xero accounting software
Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite
Experience working in the hospitality industryQualification:
Relevant finance or accounting degree
