Job Description

Journal Processing: Initiate, prepare, and process both standard and adjusting monthly journals. Distribute monthly general ledger reports to operational personnel
General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile intercompany loans and transactions, investigate income statement variances, ensure all open batches are processed, and assist with Sage 300 module maintenance
EFT Payments and Transactions: Check, approve, and release EFT payments. Ensure the accuracy and validity of petty cash and credit card transactions
Stock Management: Collect stock take information from operational units, conduct monthly stock count inspections, reconcile physical counts with theoretical stock values, report stock variances to operational units, ensure resolutions, and create new stock codes as needed
Audit Preparation: Provide guidelines and support for annual audit stock count preparations, including arranging and resourcing test counts by finance staff
Management Accounts Support: Assist in the preparation and review of draft management accounts and forecast data analysis. Support management accounting in producing accurate management account packs and monthly reports
Process Documentation: Ensure all process descriptions are documented, current, and evaluated with management for efficienciesSkills & Experience:
Advanced Excel
Proven understanding of accounting principles and policies
Ability to work accurately and meet deadlinesQualification:
Minimum 3 Year diploma/degree (postgraduate degree highly advantageous)
Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
