Job Description

Essential Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Financial reporting experience in a large Group environment
• Experience in dealing with reporting and transactions in multiple currencies
• Good IFRS theoretical and practical knowledge
• Experience with drafting AFS on Caseware or Draftworx would be advantageous
• Previous experience in completing tax and VAT returns and submission on SARS Efiling
• Knowledge of JDE E1 ERP software and business intelligence software would be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monthly and year-end financial reporting to Group Head Office (GHO) including the income statement, balance sheet and cashflow for the smaller companies with the SA Group within the GHO timelines
• Monthly posting of journals and month end close off related to the above companies
• Monthly accruals of GHO charges and other expenses as required
• Monthly general ledger and cashbook reconciliations including resolving any reconciling items for the above companies
• Management reporting using the software reporting tools as required
• Monthly analysis of certain expenses
• Performing monthly and year-end tax calculations for the above companies
• Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns for the SA Group.
• Compiling annual budgets and forecasts
• Preparing and submitting the monthly cash forecast to GHO
• Where necessary preparing a daily/weekly cash forecast for the SA Group to manage near term liquidity
