The Foods Buying department is seeking a young, dynamic accountant to join their Finance team at the Home Office in Brackenfell. The Buyers Accountant will play a critical role in supporting senior management with financial reporting and process improvements, contributing to new ideas and innovative ways of working. Job Objectives

• Prepare monthly management report to senior management.
• Analyse and investigate anomalies in both front-end and back-end profit margins.
• Assist in negotiating annual trade terms.
• Ensure accurate contract and billing creation on SAP.
• Assist management and buyers with ad hoc queries.
• Support management in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets
• Accurately capture, calculate and record trading terms and ensure monies are timeously collected and

• Track, coordinate and monitor all condition contracts, ensuring the respective team members comply with accurate capturing of contract types, profit center allocation, date ranges and conditions, timeously executed and errors identified and referred for processing and

• Support the Head Buyer with driving and maintaining corporate governance of contracts, resolutions and authorisations.

• Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting or related fields - (essential).

• +2 years experience in financial orientated or accounting role with demonstrable experience in a retail buying, commercial or similar environment - (essential)

• Comprehensive understanding of and experience with financial monthly processes, internal controls, financial reporting, reconciliations and disciplines - (essential).
• Thorough understanding of financial retail fundamentals - (highly preferred)
• Strong knowledge and application of accounting package systems and software (e.g., SAP, Pastel).
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 with an advanced level of Excel skill - (essential)
