Job Description
Our client is looking for an Accountant to join their team. This skilled position is ideal for candidates who enjoy accounting and customer service.Responsibilities:
- Books till Trial Balance;
- Processing on Sage Pastel Partner, Sage & Xero (Cashbook, Journals, etc.)
- VAT processing and Submission of VAT Returns;
- Handling client and SARS queries;
- Calculation of Income Tax;
- Submission of Income Tax Returns;
- Calculation and Submission of Provisional Tax Returns
- Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 accountancy experience (preferably at an accounting form)
- Matriculation with an accounting qualification (or studying towards this)
- Experience with different accounting packages xe2x80x93 Draftworx (a must), Caseware, Pastel and Xero (very important) and QuickBooks
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt accordingly
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Great time management and self-discipline
- An excellent planning and forecasting mindset
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans would be helpful
