A company with lodges throughout Southern and East Africa is looking for an Accountant for their lodges with a BCom Accounting and 2 years experience, based in Sandton.Experience required:B Com (Accounting) with 2 years experienceProficient with MS Office Packages (Excel)Advanced excel experience required (pivot table, VLOOKUPs)Experience with Panstrat and / or Microsoft Access beneficialKnowledge of Pastel advantagesAnalysis & Problem SolvingPlanning and OrganisationDuties include:Assist the Lodge Bookkeepers and lodge administratorsAssist lodge managers/ Director with queriesPrepare and review South African lodge balance sheet reconciliations and process monthly journalsPrepare monthly management accounts for regional business unitsPrepare and assist with quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and high-level forecastsAssist with year-end audit queriesAssist in training of staff from various backgrounds and skill levelsCapex tracking and related functions.Liaison with professional and legal advisors, tax authorities etc.Able to travel if necessary.
