Accountant Finance
KwaZulu Natal - South AfricaAccountantLocation: PinetownIndustry: ManufacturingA well-established company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its team. This role reports to the Financial Manager and is responsible for overseeing financial and administrative functions to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the administrative and financial functions of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare monthly accounts to trial balance, reconcile general ledger accounts, and process monthly standard journals.
• Handle supplier payments, accounts reconciliations, and VAT submissions.
• Manage cashbooks, bank reconciliations, pre-payments, and financing liabilities.
• Prepare financial reports, including production volumes and diesel usage reconciliations.
• Assist with audit preparations and provide supporting financial documentation.
• Ensure effective utilization of HR policies related to training, development, and performance management.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Management, or Administration.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial management and administration.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel Evolution and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work extended and irregular hours when necessary.
