SUMMARY:
Our client's growing wine farm and self-catering accommodation business is seeking an Accountant to manage financial operations and provide crucial support to the business owner. They need someone who can start as soon as possible to allow for a proper handover.POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Accountant - SAWIS
Location: Botrivier Area, Western Cape
Salary: TBC
No aid or pension fund | Bonus in DecemberKey Responsibilities:
- Data capture and general bookkeeping
- Payroll processing (salaries, wages, leave)
- UIF, PAYE, EMP201, IRP5s, and liaising with the Department of Labour when necessary
- VAT submissions and dealing with SARS when required
- Excise duties and SAWIS reporting
- Stock control and financial management of inventory
- Debtors and creditors management
- Handling export-related financials (annually)
- Post-matric qualification in Accounting or a related field
- Experience with SAGE, Pastel, or QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Own transport is essential
- Must have own accommodation
