This role is responsible for overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks, including account and bank reconciliations, transaction capturing, data analysis, report compilation, and other ad hoc responsibilities.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, deadline-driven, and demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with Divisional Managers, internal teams, and external suppliers. Job Objectives

  • Perform reconciliations between various systems, ensuring all volume rebates and special promotional rebates are balanced and processed for credits and/or payments.
  • Verify discrepancies on reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
  • Accurately process invoices and billings and ensure required authorisations are obtained.
  • Collect, update and maintain data that forms part of the billing process.
  • Communicate with suppliers on expenses or payments and timeously resolve all related queries.
  • Consolidate and prepare finance and account reconciliation data and reports within specified standards and distribute to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support auditing processes through the preparation of standard reports and data.
  • Update and maintain all related financial data, records and files as per company policies ensuring accuracy and integrity of information is maintained.
  • Preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet reports.
  • Provide variances analysis from budget, identify added-value reporting opportunities for trend analysis and commentary to assist forecasting and budgeting requirements.
  • Create and process SAP/BPC journals.
  • Ad hoc reports to management and ad hoc tasks.
QualificationsEssential
  • Grade 12
  • BComm Financial Accounting Degree & Completion of Accounting Articles
ExperienceEssential
  • 2+ years of financial or management experience as an accountant or a similiar poisition.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting principles, along with familiarity with VAT and tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, with intermediate Excel skills for creating detailed spreadsheets using formulas.
  • Experience with SAP Finance.
  • Strong time management skills and deadline-driven.

  • Ability to analyze data with solid critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.
