Duties/Pligte
Providing a financial information and support service to FM management by means of timely and accurate financial reporting in support of strategic decision-making.
Compiling financial, management and project reports.
Managing cash flow and funds and highlighting possible risks.
Comparing actual costs to the budgets to identify variances.
Implementing cost control measures by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
Compiling financial information required as part of the annual budget process.
Providing support to FM management and divisional staff with day-to-day financial duties and/or business decisions.
Capturing journals for corrections and funds transfers.
Preparing, calculating, and processing budget adjustments.
Coordinating and completing annual asset certifications and financial year-end processes.
Monitoring compliance with the financial policy and procedures.
Supporting internal and external audits by providing the necessary documentation and explanations.
Reporting and managing insurance claims due to damages to fixed property, vehicles and equipment.
Managing FM's assets to ensure replacement as per policy, updating of asset registers and proper usage.
Responding to and solving financial policy and procedure queries (walk-in, telephonic, and electronic).
Verskaf 'n finansiele inligting- en ondersteuningsdiens aan FB-bestuur deur middel van tydige en akkurate finansiele verslagdoening ter ondersteuning van strategiese besluitneming.

Die bestuur van kontantvloei en fondse en die uitlig van moontlike risiko's.
Vergelyk die werklike koste met begrotings om afwykings te identifiseer.
Implementeer kostebeheermaatreels deur ondoeltreffendheid te identifiseer en verbeterings voor te stel.
Die opstel van finansiele inligting wat benodig word as deel van die jaarlikse begrotingsproses.
Bied ondersteuning aan FB-bestuur en Afdelingspersoneel met daaglikse finansiele pligte en/of besigheidsbesluite.
Die vaslegging van joernale vir regstellings en fondsoorplasings.
Voorbereiding, berekening en verwerking van begrotingsaanpassings.
Koordinering en voltooiing van jaarlikse batesertifisering en finansiele jaareindprosesse.
Monitering van die nakoming van die finansiele beleid en prosedures.
Ondersteun interne en eksterne oudits deur die nodige dokumentasie en verduidelikings te verskaf.
Rapportering en bestuur van versekeringseise as gevolg van skade aan vaste eiendom, voertuie en toerusting.
Bestuur van FB se bates om vervanging volgens beleid, byhou van die bate register en behoorlike gebruik te verseker.
Hantering van telefoniese, instap- en e-posnavrae oor finansiele prosedures en stelsels.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
BCom degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field, with CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
At least four years' proven relevant experience in accounting in a financial management environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost management.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to evaluate, improve and implement internal controls.
The ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Good interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
BComm-graad in rekeningkunde, finansies, besigheidsadministrasie of verwante vakgebied, met verkieslik CPA of gelykwaardige sertifisering.
Minstens vier jaar se bewese, toepaslike ervaring van rekeningkunde in `n finansiele bestuursomgewing.
`n Sterk agtergrond van finansiele beginsels, begrotings en kostebestuur.
Gevorderde rekenaarvaardigheid in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel en Outlook.
Sterk analitiese vaardighede.
Aandag aan detail en akkuraatheid.
Die vermoe om interne kontroles te evalueer, verbeter en implementeer.
Die vermoe om effektief onder druk te werk.
Goeie interpersoonlikevaardighede, asook mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede.
Die vermoe om onafhanklik en as deel van 'n span te werk.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling
Knowledge of Stellenbosch University's financial system and other applicable systems.
Exposure to or experience within an FM division.
Kennis van die Universiteit Stellenbosch se finansiele stelsel en ander toepaslike stelsels.
