Attention Accountants!Our client, a key player in the Agriculture industry, located in the Western Cape, is on the lookout for a talented Accountant to join their finance team.In this role, you'll engage directly with the finance team and various operational departments, overseeing precise cost reporting, uncovering cost-saving opportunities, and playing a vital role in boosting the profitability of our farming and / or FMCG operations.

• Support daily accounting functions across all company and trust accounts as needed.
• Perform detailed analyses and reporting on production costs for different products.
• Monitor and evaluate operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational teams to create and enforce effective cost control strategies.
• Track and reconcile financial transactions related to operational expenses.
• Work with operational teams to establish and maintain cost control procedures, including inventory management and procurement.
• Assist in preparing detailed financial reports and statements.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts related to operational costs.
• Provide management with essential financial data and reports as required.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting agricultural and / or FMCG cost accounting.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting / Finance

Experience:

• Completed SAIPA or SAICA Articles.
• 1 xe2x80x93 2 Years post articles experience.
• Knowledge of South African tax regulations is a must.
• Having knowledge of agricultural accounting principles is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Business Central is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Enthusiasm for the Agriculture and/or FMCG industries.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and growth within a dynamic organisation.
