FinanceReference Number: 7257Grading: C4INTRODUCTION:Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity in our Finance Department for an Accounts Officer: Treasury with experience in exchange control and experience with regard to domestic and foreign banking. Preferred candidate should at least have 5 years minimum experience with a B.Com Degree in Accounting.QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.Com Accounting.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years relevant experience.
• Exchange control experience.
• Banking experience with regard to domestic and foreign.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• JSOX.
• GAAP.
• IFRS.
• Foreign currency legislation.
• Reserve Bank legislation.
• Corporate Tax.
• Customs and Excise Duties.
• SAP.

JOB SPECIFICATION:FOREX - Foreign Book * Receives order & checks forward cover.

• Administrates foreign currency related to foreign payments.
• Performs offshore foreign loan re-payments administration.
• Preparation & submission of Excon & SARB approvals in conjunction with Specialist: Exchange Control.
• Submits exchange control applications to SA Reserve Bank.
• Monitors dates for re-payments of loans.
• Checks & verifies information to maintain data integrity.
• Provides input for reports on foreign exchange payables.
• Performs re-valuation of forward exchange contracts as per requirements / periodically.
• Maintains files & records for audit purposes.

Banking Administration * Plans & coordinates with leadership where required.

• Administrates banking related payments.
• Prepares daily cashflow/ bank recon for CFC bank accounts.
• Maintains loan schedules for all short term & long-term borrowings.
• Maintain reconciliation for KMC loan account & Workings & entries for deferred interest monthly.
• Monitors dates for re-payments of loans.
• Checks & verifies information to maintain data integrity.
• Provides input for reports on foreign exchange payables.
• Performs re-valuation of forward exchange contracts as per procedures.
• Maintains files & records for audit purposes.
