Accounts Payable Assistant - Cape TownFull job descriptionamplify5 continue to grow!Accounts Payable AssistantWe are launching new partnerships here at amplify5, and to ensure we set this up for success we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant.The primary responsibility for the role is working as part of the Accounts Payable team across both our Sage and In-House travel system. Processing invoices on time, and payments are reconciled in a timely manner, to underpin the business in being able to continually operate in what is very dynamic and fast paced industry.What you will be doing:Reconcile supplier statements for major airlines and hotel groups, managing the timely and accurate payment of these suppliersProcess employee expenses, while monitoring compliance to company policyCredit Card payment reconciliation, resolving queries and resolving differencesReconcile bank payments against purchases raised by reservations agents on internal booking systemRespond to both internal and external queries with an exceptionally high standard of customer serviceProcessing supplier invoices on our Sage System ensuring the appropriate approval process is followed, and payments are made in a timely manner.Non- Negotiable Requirements:Must reside in Cape TownQualifications:Matric (Completed)Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration- Advantageous.Experience:Minimum 2 Years proven working experience as Accounts Payable ClerkSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.12 Months international BPO experience - Advantageous.Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.Prior experience in a customer-facing role or client management is advantageous.Skills and Knowledge:Proficient in Excel/ MS Office.Experience of Accounting Software.Numerically proficientAttention to detail.Working to deadlinesProfessional level of customer service both internally and externallyEmail boxes are up to date and all emails accounted forEscalation of issues prior to them becoming urgentExternal and internal customer satisfactionWorking with othersExcellent communication skillsDrive for excellenceCompetencies:Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and adapt to changing priorities.Benefits:Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R10 000 - R12 500 per monthCape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)In return you will work for a dynamic business, that values its people, and puts them and our customers at the heart of everything we do.
