The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the company's client base, generate revenue, and foster sustainable growth. This involves proactively prospecting for potential clients, nurturing leads, and converting them into profitable business relationships.The Activations & Events Director is a crucial member of the leadership team reporting to the Managing Partner and focusing on enhancing Consumer Experiences & Commerce. The ideal candidate will excel in fostering strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and advocating for our company's solutions, while driving sustainable growth for long-term success.While primarily focused on commercial aspects, a significant aspect of the role involves managing the company's relationships with its major clients, deeply understanding their business objectives and needs. However, it's vital that the Activations and Events Director stay connected to broader business insights encompassing strategy, creativity, systems, and data to ensure the successful delivery of client and product solutions.As Activations & Events Director you are responsible for ensuring the profitability and commercial viability of their designated vertical.   • Drive and meet sales objectives by continuously proposing solutions that add value, increase sales and delight consumers.
  • Meet set revenue targets by ensuring ongoing organic growth and securing new business.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Develop and expand trusted relationships with customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.
  • Ensure products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Quickly act to resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Develop and manage account plans for all current clients with input from all key internal stakeholders.
RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or 10 years relevant work experience within a similar environment
  • 10 years, commercial, sales & marketing industry experience
  • Previous ad agency experience is essential
  • Experience in BTL advertising is a must
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets in a related industry.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close deals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges.
