Job Description

To provide actuarial product solutions for vehicle value added products, legal expense and a subset of motor insurance products to internal and external clients within the insurance industry; in line with Nedbank's Client Value Proposition.

Job Responsibilities

• Product development of new product benefits and participating in the review of product information in policy wording terms and conditions.
• Product design and pricing for new products including going through the various sign off processes until the product is ready for market
• Evaluate current product outcomes from a market conduct perspective to enhance existing product offerings
• Conduct product experience reviews and analyses for vehicle value added products, legal expense and a subset of motor insurance products
• Collaborate with various internal and external parties to improve customer experience pertaining to the product suite
• Review the product related information for all marketing and policy servicing communication relating to the VVAPS product
• Develop sound product and industry knowledge.
• Provide feedback and presentation to stakeholders.
• Assist with all queries, for example claim queries, related to the product suit as a subject matter expert
• Ensure regulatory product compliance in collaboration with internal legal and compliance teams
• Oversee tasks; internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant; timeous implementation of initiative
• Assist in the development of training material as a subject matter expert
• Perform market research from time to time
• Comply with corporate governance requirements to minimise risk to all stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SQL and VBA
• Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
• Assist with developing products on systems
• Assist with reporting on the various products to various forums
• Ensure self and staff understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by leading by example and re-enforcing values during meetings.n support of the implementation of recommendations.

People Specification

Essential Qualification - NQF Level

B.Degree in Actuarial Science

Minimum Experience Level

1 -3 years in the Actuarial field. Experience in a product environment would be an advantage. (Insurance)
