A specialist cell captive insurance company, operating in the corporate risk , alternative distribution and underwriting management agencies sectors. A young, vibrant and innovative company with both a non-life and life cell captive license. Provide business partners and insurance clients with the ability to participate in the risk and benefits related to their individual insurance business.The RoleThe position will be based in Johannesburg in Rosebank. The ideal candidate will join a small actuarial team that is responsible for implementing the actuarial control function across the licenses and provides actuarial services to departments within the company.The position will report to the Head: Corporate Actuarial and will assist with the following: Calculation and management of technical provisions Calculation and management of the regulatory and economic capital models Development and maintenance of actuarial models ORSA and Risk Appetite Reinsurance structuring Perform actuarial/statistical analyses on data Ad-hoc actuarial projectsKey Requirements Making good progress with actuarial exams with good results At least 3 years actuarial insurance experience Knowledge of regulatory environment and applicable legislationCompetencies Decision making, problem solving and analytical ability Gathering and handling of information Effectiveness and efficiency in performing tasks Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure Energetic and resilient Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines Above average excel skills, attention to details and efficientSimilar jobs you might be interested in:Location: Johannesburg
