ACU Engineer - PotchefstroomFull job descriptionM-Tech Industrial focuses on different aspects of thermal and nuclear engineering. The ACU business unit focuses on the roll-out of mobile air conditioning units (ACUxe2x80x99s) at mining clients to enable mining in remote hotspots. M-Tech Industrial patented this product, is the OEM, does in field maintenance and service, and our footprint is increasing daily.We are looking for a dynamic individual to assist with the engineering maintenance and service of these units, in the role of an ACU Engineer. The successful applicant will be based in Potchefstroom but should be willing to travel to project sites within a 500km radius.Duties and Responsibilities:Report to the ACU business unit manager on a daily basis.Handle important project related logistics such as equipment delivery and positioning, with all associated quality assurance requirements.Supervise site works according to the Mines Health & Safety Act to ensure (and enforce) safe working conditions at all times.Underground commissioning of systems and sub-systems of installations according to M-Tech Quality Assurance processes.Understand and work with pumps, valves and the accompanying pipework and valves.Skills and Competencies:Willing to work in the mining environment, specifically underground.Strong team player with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.Strong Thermodynamic knowledge with Thermal Hydraulic interest.Strong data analysis skills (must be proficient with MS Excel).Strong drawing capability with an interest in hardware and the physical building of equipment.Be hands-on and PracticalAttention to detailDesired experience & Qualification:Qualification - B.Eng Mechanical4+ years relevant working experience.Knowledge on Mine health and safety.Managerial ExperienceManufacturing and Draughting experience will be beneficial.Refrigeration Experience will be beneficial.Previous experience in a mining environment will be beneficial (preferably underground).Valid driverxe2x80x99s license.For more information, contact our recruiting team: recruit@mtechindustrial.comNB: Please consider your application unsuccessful should you not hear from us.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentAbility to commute/relocate:Potchefstroom, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):Do you have a BEng Mechanical Engineering?Experience:relevant working: 4 years (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)
