We offer a highly diverse, professional and supportive environment with opportunities for development and growth.Description:Overview of Duties:The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is recruiting a highly motivated Administrative Intern to join the Sub-Saharan African Network For TB/HIV Research Excellence. This internship will be an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to create a career path within programme management. The intern will provide effective admin support for the SANTHE, a pan- African research and capacity strengthening programe
which aims to support cutting-edge HIV and TB research on the African continent. This position requires the intern to be proficient in multi-tasking skills, high level analytical skills, be deadline driven, be engaging and to be detailed orientated.Overview of Duties

  • Provide general administrative support to SANTHE.
  • Assist with maintaining databases.
  • Assist with the recruitment of students and fellows.
  • Assist with the design of adverts, news events, presentations, handbook.
  • Ordering of materials and supplies when needed.
  • To assist with the preparation and planning for courses/workshops including
logistics, travel booking, booking of venues, catering, distribution of training
materials or source documents, compiling registers, evaluations, feedback
etc. * Assist with the setting up seminars which includes the booking of the venue,work with IT for the virtual set up, register maintenance, catering etc. * Assist with capturing and compiling meeting notes, generating forms,evaluations, documenting trainee/fellow feedback. * Assist with capturing and maintaining trainee fellow publications.
  • General assistance to SANTHE.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BSc degree/ B Tech degree or equivalent qualification in Office Administration or any other related field.
Minimum Experience
  • 0-1-years' experience in Office Administration.
  • Good skills in Microsoft office.
Skills Required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Accuracy and precision.
  • High computer literacy.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
Advantageous
  • Basic experience in educational administrative support role.
  • Previous experience working in a research environment.
