The successful candidate will join a thriving, research-driven faculty.An opportunity currently exists for candidates to apply for the position of Administrative Officer to provide administrative support to the Dean's Office in respect of all Faculty administrative processes, in order to ensure alignment and compliance with central administrative systems and procedures; and to provide a professional support service to academics, students and staff.Reporting to the Faculty Manager, the appointee's duties will include, but not be limited, to the administration and execution of the following tasks:

  • Academic Administration
  • Marks Administrations
  • Enquiry Management
  • Committee Administration
  • Marketing, Branding and Student Recruitment
  • Meeting and General Office Administration
  • HR Administration
  • Financial Administration
Minimum RequirementsWe seek an Administrative Officer equipped with the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Grade 12
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
The following would be advantageous:
  • An accredited post-matric qualification
  • Administrative experience in a Higher Education environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of university administrative systems
  • Proficiency in computer programmes/software packages e.g. Word; Excel / MS Office Suites / PowerPoint

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Intermediate to expert user of computer office applications
