  • To maintain and provide a support service for the Gender Equity Unit's programmes including forward planning of workload, diary management, co-ordinating and collating of all relevant paperwork.
  • Service meetings, including preparation of meeting papers, obtaining and preparing briefing materials and presentations, and taking minutes when requested/where necessary of GEU programmes.
  • Respond and advise efficiently to all electronic or verbal enquiries related to Gender Equity Unit programmes.
  • Arrangement of logistics for meetings, workshops and related programme.
  • Assist with communication between the programme's coordinator, team at GEU and stakeholders assist with social media platforms to ensure that all programme work is profiled on social media.
  • Assist with marketing and period content placement on social media platforms and UWC Communications.
  • Execute any ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum Requirements (Qualification and Experience)
  • A relevant National Higher Certificate or Equivalent qualification at NQF Level 5
  • 2 years' relevant experience.
Required competencies (skills, knowledge and behavioural attributes): e.g. Professional registration, academic status in the relevant discipline, a proven research and publication record, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Student and Staff-orientated attitude
  • Public speaking with good presentation skills
  • A team player who demonstrates respect for mutuality, information sharing, feminist leadership and collegiality when working within a team
