Job Description

Duties/Pligte
Organising, managing, and facilitating projects and activities of the CTL (including administration and budgets). Liaising and communicating with faculties regarding CTL projects and activities as well as other TLA matters. Providing advice and support to academics about TLA and curriculum renewal in support of student learning and success. Monitoring and evaluating TLA projects. Conceptualising, designing, and developing TLA resources and professional learning opportunities for academics. Facilitating professional TLA learning opportunities for SU academics.


Organiseer, koordineer en fasiliteer projekte en aktiwiteite van SOL (insluitend administrasie en begrotings). Skakel en kommunikeer met fakulteite ten opsigte van SOL-projekte en -aktiwiteite sowel as ander OLA-aangeleenthede. Voorsien advies en ondersteuning aan akademici ten opsigte van OLA en kurrikulumvernuwing ter ondersteuning van studenteleer en -sukses. Moniteer en evalueer OLA-projekte. Konseptualiseer, ontwerp en ontwikkel OLA-hulpbronne en professsionele leergeleenthede vir akademici. Fasiliteer professionele OLA-leergeleenthede vir akademici.


Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
Master's degree. Three years' relevant TLA experience of being employed in a DHET accredited higher education institution as either lecturer, or part of a Centre for Teaching and Learning, or equivalent. Sound knowledge of the South African higher education sector. Familiarity with the scholarship of teaching and learning in South Africa and internationally. Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to work in a complex environment. The ability to think analytically and innovatively and taking initiative. Good communication and liaising skills. Good presentation and facilitation skills. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Strong writing abilities, including minutes and reports. Detail-focused with excellent time management skills. Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Moodle. A valid driver's licence.

In order to confirm compliance with the qualitative requirements as stated, candidates will be required to do a presentation and task-based assessment exercise as part of the interview process.

Sterk skryfvaardighede met inbegrip van notules en verslae. Oog vir detail met uitstekende tydsbestuurvaardighede. Rekenaarvaardighede in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, en Moodle. `n Geldige rybewys.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
Knowledge of English and another official South African language. Knowledge and experience of web design and development. Project management experience.
