:Affinity and Volume Sales Business Unit ManagerWe are hiring!Aon South Africa is recruiting an Affinity and Volume Sales Business Unit Manager based on a hybrid basis from our offices in Sandton. The role is to develop new business opportunities and support Affinity and Volume Business Sales in collaboration with Personal Lines, Commercial and Specialty business units to achieve their new business targets in line with Aon strategy.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeDefine and accelerate growth plans, including cross-sell synergiesEnsure growth plan includes growth priorities as agreedWork with Chief Commercial Office and New Business Development Executives to achieve new business resultsDevelop new business opportunities and support Affinity and Volume Business Sales, in collaboration with Personal Lines, Commercial and Specialty business units to achieve their new business targets in line with Aon StrategyWork with Solution Lines Leadership teams to drive growth plan executionThe role is product agnostic and covers a wide range of product lines including Personal Lines, Specialty and Commercial Solution Lines.Affinity business will now partner with industry verticals such as Financial Institutions, Mobility, Telecommunication, High Net Work, Professions and Associations etc.Drive conversion through effective negotiations with Industry Vertical PartnersWorks with National Sales Centre to ensure volume sales targets are metManage engagement with other Business Units i.e. Growth Operations, Personal Lines, Affinity, Commercial and Aon Branch NetworkMaintains strong knowledge of Aon servicesEnsure delivery of Aon United strategy through driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities.Ensure resources, systems and processes are in place to drive effeciency and productivity aligned to sales targetsParticipation and contribution towards Aon South Africa growth strategy and initiativesDevelopment of personal expertise and excellence by utilising the Aon knowledge tools available and ensure that process is in place to drive individual responsibilityImplement an annual talent review process and have a succession plan in place.Skills and experience that will lead to successQualifications.

  • A grade 12 certificate (matric).
  • A relevant bachelors degree would be advantageous.
  • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS act
  • Registration as a Licentiate with the IISA.
  • Comply with the applicable fit and proper possessions as per the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
Knowledge.
  • Quality Control/Assurance knowledge
  • Has a good working knowledge of Aon products and services offered.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices in a technical/professional discipline.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the general code of conduct for authorised financial services providers and representatives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Insurance legislation.
  • Very good knowledge of policy wordings.
Skills and Attributes.
  • People management and motivation.
  • Well-developed analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed ability to work in and with teams.
Experience.
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years experience in a similar role.
  • Conduct meetings and make presentations (both verbal and written)
  • Have at least 5 years within the new business environment (Short Term Insurance)
  • Have a proven track record in reaching sales targets
