Must have a Masters degree in Agronomy Soil Science Plant Production
3-5 years relevant Agronomy experience is required
Knowledge and experience of forage crops, maize, wheat and canola would be an advantage
Good communication and writing skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, are essential
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel extensively and spend time away from home
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing and co-ordinating varietal screening trials in multiple crops, specialising in pastures.
Handling complaints and supplying support and feedback to the Sales team in this regard.
Providing weekly feedback to the Technical Manager.
Co-ordinating and providing product training.
Presenting and assisting at farmers' days and agricultural expos.
Writing articles for newsletters, magazines and marketing materials.
Conducting farmers' visits with the Sales Representatives and Agents.
Planting and evaluating commercial trials.
Providing technical support to Sales team, Product Development team as well as Field Officers and farmers.
