Job SummaryPBT Group is currently seeking a talented Solution Architect to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the technical project manager, technical business analyst, and technology teams to derive technical solutions that meet business requirements. As a key member of a small team dedicated to enhancing the ease of doing business for our intermediaries, you will play a pivotal role in systems evaluations, design, and implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to evaluate, implement, and configure solutions to meet business needs. We are looking for an individual who takes a hands-on approach, prioritizing action over mere discussion.As a Solution Architect, your responsibilities include:

• Systems Analysis and Evaluation:

• Evaluate system capabilities, architecture, and conduct technical fit-for-gap analysis.
• Solution Design:

• Analyse and create integration requirements specifications.
• Design solution architecture and dataflows.
• Contribute to the development of the solution architecture in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
• Architecture Vision:

• Contribute to reviewing the solution architecture vision.
• Customizations and Configurations:

• Tailor system features to meet specific business requirements.
• Support system implementation through customizations and integrations.
• API and System Integration:

• Facilitate effective collaboration between development, testing, and business stakeholders.
• Analysis and Documentation:

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and documentation.
• Project Management Support:

• Support the planning, organization, leadership, and execution of the project.
• Technical Fit-for-Gap Analysis (Xplan):

• Assess system compatibility with specific technical requirements.
• Additional Focus Areas:

• Functional and technical specifications.
• Integration points and dataflows.
• Architecture design.
• Change management.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Solution analysis, design, and development experience in an enterprise-wide context.
• Proficient in various technologies and experienced across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Solid knowledge of systems integrations and IT infrastructure within a large-scale technology services environment.
• Strong experience with Webservices (SOAP, REST, RPC).
• Minimum of six (6) years' work experience in the software industry.
• 5+ years of experience as a solution architect.
• 5+ years' experience in business systems analysis, solution analysis, and evaluations.
• 5+ years' experience in software engineering and development.
• Integration and API experience.
• Deep understanding of software development, architecture design, and SDLC methodologies (agile, scrum, kanban).
• Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering software systems with distributed components.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to evolving project needs.

Additional Desirable Experience:

• Financial services industry knowledge, especially in short-term insurance.
• Extensive experience in software development and systems architecture.
• Strong knowledge of various programming languages, databases, and development frameworks.
• Experience in configuring any ERP or CRM system is highly beneficial.
• Exposure to API and system integration.
• Experience in deploying large-scale enterprise applications (CRM, ERP, etc.).

Qualifications/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL, COBIT) is advantageous.
