Description:THE JOB AT A GLANCEReporting to the Applications Support Manager, the Applications Engineer will support the different RMA departments, IT queries and to ensure they can execute their different business functions. To ensure the CompCare systems align with the IT strategy and that systems are working according to specification.WHAT WILL YOU DO?Management, Testing and Reporting of Defects

  • Log defects and provide feedback to different BUs at RMA on issues & status updates
  • Test and provide feedback of system issues to different business departments and IT
  • Report on defects and ageing defects
  • Mitigate controllable risks
Provide ICT System Support on the Different Systems Deployed within RMA IT
  • Install and set certain programs
  • Investigate ICT issues experienced by the different business departments in conjunction with ICT development to resolve the issues
New Development Testing
  • Assist business with creating a business case of new developments
  • Test new developments with the relevant departments and provide feedback to business and management where necessary
System Administration
  • Access management of systems access privileges
  • Organise access to the different systems for new employees
  • Assist RMA ICT with Licencing management
  • Deactivate licences / access for the users whom have left the organisation
Resolve Calls and Perform adhoc Responsibilities
  • Investigate Compcare and other Business system calls / issues
  • Resolve calls within the ICT SLA
  • Ensure that all work is performed in terms of required standards and regulation
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Assist with adhoc responsibilities within agreed timelines and quality
Requirements:WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?
  • Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance
  • NQF Level 6: Relevant Industry Diploma in Information Technology
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in finance systems and IT system knowledge
  • MCP qualifications will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in IT financial environment
  • Microsoft Office
  • Systems Applications Knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Driven - This position would suit an individual who is driven by results and is target driven.
  • People skills - Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
