Applications Manager - Corporation for Deposit Insurance (Financial Services)Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates.Location: Pretoria, Gauteng / HybridPosition Overview:A blue-chip financial services group is keen to appoint an Applications Manager - Corporation for Deposit Insurance, reporting to the Senior Manager - Enterprise Systems.The main purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate resources in support of current operations in the Enterprise Systems Division of the Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) and the delivery of new solutions for the Corporation for Deposit Insurance (CODI).Key Performance Areas:

• Manage operational planning by developing short-term work plans in line with the BSTD strategy.
• Manage and improve workflow and the application of processes, procedures, and systems.
• Provide advice on the refining of policies, processes, and systems.

To be considered for this position, one must have:

• A completed Honours Degree in Computer Science (NQF 8) or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in a complex IT environment, responsible for providing business solutions and the delivery of new IT solutions.
• 3 years' experience in Managing Solutions in the Banking or Financial Industry.
• 4 years' Management exposure to .NET Frameworks, Redhat Enterprise, Apace, Tomcat and JDK Technologies environments.
• Technical background in an appropriate area - Software Development, Infrastructure, or Integration.
