Our client in the Telecommunications industry is currently looking for an Area Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator, in Port Elizebeth, Eastern Cape.Responsibilities:

• Communications and coordination for the Maintenance team, making sure they're aligned with internal requirements and expectations.
• Meet project deadlines and be able to respond to any type of network outage.
• Planning and upholding reactive and proactive maintenance tasks.
• Share maintenance plans and updates with the Network Operations for their awareness.
• Coordinate projects and expectations with third-party contractors.
• Manage working methods to ensure all SLA and MSAs are achieved Ensure Uptime of Power and equipment in POPs.
• Maintain Security Standards and work with communities to ensure minimal network disruption.
• Working as a bridge to manage remote hands to Network Operations
• Develop and maintain relationships to ensure a high level of customer service.
• Ensure that records, schematics, or registers are updated and kept current.
• 3rd party vendor management.
• Open minded as the scale will develop drastically and will need to think on the fly to ensure they are always ahead.
• Be a point of contact for Network Operations during maintenance, providing updates and assisting in problem-solving.
• Keep an eye on network performance during maintenance and report any issues.
• Working with Third-Party contractors to Build and repair fibre network infrastructure for the purpose of maintaining and expanding the existing fibre infrastructure where damages might occur, or small expansions are needed.
• Establish transparent performance metrics and provide constructive feedback and coaching to bolster team competency.
• Suggest ways to improve maintenance processes based on feedback and observations.
• Ensuring Stock is accurate and reporting of stock requirements.
• Upholding SLA terms and reporting thereof.

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in network operations or maintenance coordination is a plus.
• Good understanding of networks and maintenance.
• Strong communication skills to keep teams and stakeholders informed.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks and schedules.
• Ready to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Basic network understanding and troubleshooting methods, Loopback testing on copper, fibre, SFPs, etc.
• Basic understanding of electricity (AC/DC)
• Basic understanding of power and battery equipment.
• Have basic fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• R40 000 - R45 000 per month.
