As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and overseeing the effective management of multiple stores. You will lead and support store management teams to achieve sales targets, maintain operational standards, and ensure compliance with company policies. You will also provide guidance and assistance to the Operations Manager and Group Direct-to-Consumer Channel Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12/Matric
Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Food Retail, Sales or related field
5-8 years of management experience in hospitality, food retail sales environment, including multi-site management
Proficient in GAAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong numerical skills
Proven staff management experience
Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
Valid driver's license and own car
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive sales performance and support stores in achieving targets.
Oversee the management of multiple stores within the region.
Develop and implement store-specific marketing and promotional strategies.
Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
Coordinate and assess training needs across all staff levels.
Monitor product quality, stock control, financials, and hygiene through audits and daily checks.
Manage staff rosters, leave, performance, and misconduct with the People & Culture Team.
Support store managers as needed and assist with openings, trade shows, and events.
