. Job Summary:
To drive mechanic registrations on the Castrol FastScan App, promoting awareness and adoption of the platform by visiting independent and non-independent automotive service workshops. The role requires efficient app demonstration, training, and reporting while ensuring strong engagement with the automotive service industry.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Mechanic Engagement and App Registration
Visit designated automotive workshops within assigned territories
Register mechanics on the new Castrol App immediately during the visit
Provide training on app usage and demonstrate its benefits
Gather mechanic feedback on the app and related products
Data Collection and Reporting
Accurately collect and input required data points via the internal app (e.g., customer details, mechanic information, app registration evidence, and feedback)
Submit daily updates on mechanic registrations and other KPIs
Promotional Activities
Distribute Z-cards and leaflets to mechanics and workshop personnel
Represent the Castrol brand professionally, ensuring a strong presence in the field
Logistics and Preparedness
Utilize FastScan uniforms and equipment, including WiFi devices and power banks, to address app installation challenges (e.g., lack of data or device compatibility issues)
Ensure timely and efficient visits in line with the daily and monthly targets
Collaboration
Attend weekly meetings with the client and project team for progress reviews
Participate in training sessions to understand app functionality and sales techniques
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Total Mechanic Downloads: 4000 registrations in 3 months
Daily Target: 6 mechanic registrations per day per field marketeer
Evidence of registration and engagement submitted via the SmartApp

Field Marketer Placement:
Gauteng: 3 field marketers (North, South, East, West)
Cape Town: 2 field marketers (Eastern, Western, Cape Town regions)
Durban: 2 field marketers (Durban, PMB, and surrounding areas)
Mpumalanga: 1 field marketer
Free State: 1 field marketer (Bloemfontein)
Limpopo: 1 field marketer
Additional Notes:
Recruitment and training to commence mid-February to ensure readiness by March 1st
The client will provide a customer database to aid in identifying target workshops
Weekly automated reporting and KPI tracking will be implemented

Minimum Qualifications: Relevant Diploma at NQF level 5
Drivers' License with own vehicle
Minimum Experience: 2-3 years' experience in sales (app phone sales experience) advantage
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Sales and Marketing knowledge in automotive or mobile industry
