Minimum requirements for the role:

• A relevant degree in food technology or equivalent qual is preferred for this role.
• Previous senior sales / key account management experience working within the FMCG, food ingredient / manufacturing or meat processing industry is preferred for the role.
• Must have strong business development abilities with the focus to grow market share.
• Must have good English communication skills both verbal and written.
• The successful candidate must be willing to work with non-kosher, non-halaal and pork products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Driving and overseeing all commercial aspects, managing senior key accounts within the meat processing, bakery and related markets within the western cape.
• Ensuring a value-added approach to all senior key accounts as well as build market share across all categories.
• Driving and achieving ingredients and casings volumes and budget.
• Building on and researching product and industry knowledge as well as promotional activity as and when required.
• Building client relationships and ensuring service effectiveness.
• Submitting weekly sales reports to senior management.
• Developing new business and market opportunities.
• Managing customers' expectations regarding stock and deliveries.
• Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, feedback from field activity.
• Generating ideas and implementing special sales activities and innovative sessions.
• Participating in promotions and marketing events when required to do so.
• Optimising sales and market share through client relationship management.
