Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive sales and expand business development across Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, youll represent the companys brands, products, and services, primarily in the Mining & Minerals Processing, Chemical, Industrial, Oil & Gas, and Nutrition & Health industries. This position requires frequent travel within the region to engage with key clients and partners.Key Duties:
- Promote and sell company brands, products, and services in assigned territories, either directly or through local agents and distributors
- Build and maintain strong communication with customers to generate leads and identify business opportunities
- Conduct on-site meetings to understand client needs, finalize designs, secure orders, and address any concerns
- Coordinate with Service Operations to provide customer support, including equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and repair
- Collaborate with Field Service Technicians to schedule site visits, plant audits, and equipment assessments
- Strengthen relationships with customers and EPCs, focusing on long-term business growth
- Engineering degree (Mechanical) or equivalent experience
- At least 15 years in a commercial role within the African Mining sector
- Experience in industrial equipment sales highly preferred
- Proven track record in sales and business development
- Background in oil & gas, chemical, or industrial markets advantageous
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and Power BI
