We are currently seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Guards

(HANDGUN & SHOTGUN Competency)

to join our team. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for our assets, property, and staff by adhering to the Private Security Industry Regulations.

As a Security Guard, you'll play a crucial role in protecting our facilities from theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular patrols to maintain visibility and deter criminal activities. Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Investigate and report signs of damage, unlawful entry, or other disturbances. Perform thorough checks on personnel, vehicles, and goods to prevent theft and unauthorized access. Maintain and complete all necessary security documentation, including registers and occurrence books. Respond promptly to emergencies and alert relevant authorities as needed. Ensure all doors, windows, and other entry points are secured at the end of the day. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with staff, customers, and visitors. Monitor alarm systems and video cameras to detect any suspicious activities. Assist in evacuation procedures and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises. Offer ongoing security advice and safety warnings to all personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) or Senior Certificate PSIRA Grade C accreditation
Must have competency certification- HANDGUN & SHOTGUN

Knowledge of fire safety and health regulations- advantageous

Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Clear criminal

Compensation:

Market-related salary

Preference will be given to applicants in the surrounding areas (Verulam, Phoenix, Umhlanga, Westville, Escombe Rd, Pinetown)
