Art Director - Jaguar Landrover - Cape TownFull job descriptionROLE OVERVIEWThe Creative AD, is responsible for the overall design of marketing materials, including social media, films, print, digital and out of home displays for each of the JLR House of brands as required. Thorough knowledge of the CI and visual literacy of each house is paramount. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work in these areas, as well as experience working with a variety of clients and brands.The AD will work with internal and external teams to execute brand campaigns, retail campaigns and key content objectives across a broad range of channels and asset types. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to accurately self edit, organise and manage competing workloads from multiple stakeholders, offer and handle constructive criticism, deliver in a fast paced environment and present complex ideas to internal and external leadership in a clear and confident manner.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute creative designs for marketing campaigns, adhoc projects and assets required timeously.Collaborate with the Brand hub team members under the Regional Creative Directors guidance to create or adapt high quality, visually appealing designs that meet the business requirements.Keep abreast with the latest trends and technologies within the premium industry best practice.Fast Learner with a thorough understanding of the Four Houses of Brand s CI, brand positioning, and target audiencesMust exhibit a passion for design, ensuring that every project is meticulously crafted, with attention to the minor details as well as the overall look and feel.Produce sketches and storyboards when required.Ensure the level of creative work is high before presenting work to Creative Directors, Group Heads etc.Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.#LI-EU QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSBachelor s degree in graphic design or a related field3 5 years of experience in creative designStrong portfolio of work in social, print, digital, and OOH designExperience working with a variety of clients and brands.Proficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteKey personal skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skills Communicate effectively with cross functional internal and external teams.Collaborate closely to ensure work is on brief and on brand.Flexibility and adaptability to balance multiple projects of varying priorities.Deliver and handle constructive criticism with tactfulness.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong time management skillsResilient, confident, accountable, reliable, solution driven problem solver.Be meticulous with attention to detail.
