PURPOSEThis position exists to assist Artisans (Boilermaker) to whom they are allocated to with daily maintenance.RESPONSIBILITIESSafetyEnsure conformity to SHEQ standards, policies and proceduresPerform general housekeeping duties including cleaning of workshop machinery and equipmentEnsure safekeeping of toolsMaintenanceSupport the Artisan in participating and executing predictive and preventive maintenance activitiesAssist Artisan in documenting maintenance work in the designated databaseAssist the Artisan in repairing and assembling various types of machines and equipmentAssist the Artisan in stripping various machinery by using various types of tools disassembling componentsClean dirty parts and cleaning components as per Artisan instructionsComplete tasks per issued job cardsInspection and reportingPerform daily inspections of all equipment/tools and give feedbackReport all faults and problems to ArtisanPerform ad hoc tasks as and when requiredQUALIFICATIONSNational Senior Certificate (NSC) / N3 Certificate engineering subjects [50% Maths & Science (NSC); 50% Maths & Science (N3)]EXPERIENCE2 xe2x80x93 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as an Engineering Assistant (Artisan Assistance) in Mining or constructionBasic hand tools experienceSKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIREDWilling to work overtime/weekends as operationally requiredHigh commitment to comply with the SHEQ regulations and requirements of the organisation and clientKnowledge of hydraulics, lubrication, mechanical seals, assembly, disassembly, alignment and all activities involved in maintenanceGENERAL REQUIREMENTFitness certificationClosing Date: 07 August 2024
