Artisan Assistant

Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Artisan Assistant at our Port Shepstone Mining depot. We are seeking a technically minded individual with a passion for heavy earthmoving equipment to assist the artisan with general functions as an Assistant Artisan. Under supervision, using limited tools and manual equipment as well as assisting in cleaning the work area and workshop.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- A valid drivers licence
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, nightwork & public holidays
- Adhere to safe working procedures
- Assist with repairs and services to Earth Moving Equipment Machines Component/ machine cleaning Basic maintenance and housekeeping Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed Assist the artisan in all aspects Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used Ability to work under pressure A team player with the ability to work well within a team environment
