We are looking for an
Artisan: Auto Electrician
to perform preventative electrical maintenance on engines to achieve optimal plant availability by reducing downtime and breakdowns.
Reporting to the
Maintenance: Controller
, your responsibilities will include:
Inspect, repair and maintain assets and engines to minimize adverse impact on production
Oversee, assist and support maintenance jobs of all Servicepersons.
Perform condition monitoring, fault finding and problem solving on specified equipment (e.g. engines).
Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Maintenance Controller / Supervisor.
Comply with SHEQ- and technical requirements, in line with Plant availability targets.
Adhere to planned maintenance schedules and minimize re-work.
Optimal use of available resources (people and equipment).
Technical evaluation of equipment and projects.
What you'll bring
Technical Grade 12 / N3 - (
Attach certificate)
Trade Test: Auto Electrician - (
Attach certificate)
Valid South African Driver's License - (
Attach certificate)
5 years work experience within a Heavy Mining or Automotive Industry
Advanced skills in testing, diagnosing and repair of automotive electrical systems
