Job Description
Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Boilermaker to be placed in Impala Project Rustenburg, North West. The successful candidate will report to the Foremen Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Cost containment
- Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
- Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
- Competent, positive and motivated team
- Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies and procedures
- Stakeholder engagement
- Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC value
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
xc2xb7 Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
xc2xb7 Section 26 Boilermaker Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
xc2xb7 Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
xc2xb7 Valid First aid Certificate
xc2xb7 Valid Gas Testing certificate
xc2xb7 Good communication skills in English
xc2xb7 Able to solve problems within agreed standards, policies and procedures
xc2xb7 Team leadership and management skills
xc2xb7 Sound listening communication skills
xc2xb7 Self-motivated self-starter with high levels of initiative
xc2xb7 Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
xc2xb7 Job planning skill
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
xc2xb7 1 year's mining industry experience (underground)
xc2xb7 1 year's trade experience as Boilermaker
xc2xb7 Construction experience (Box Fronts, Bulk heads, Tips and conveyor Belts)
xc2xb7 Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings will be added advantage
